This Privacy Policy explains how VISU (visu.to and related properties operated by VISU Network) collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our platform.
1. What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Account data — your email, username, profile photo, country, language, and any social profile links you connect to your VisuLink.
- Usage data — how you interact with VISU: pages visited, features used, scans generated, payouts requested, device and browser metadata.
- Visitor data — when someone scans your QR code or visits your VisuLink, we record anonymized analytics: country, device, referring source, and timestamp. We do not store personally identifiable information about your visitors.
2. How we use it
We use your data to:
- Operate the VISU platform (create your VisuLink, calculate earnings, process payouts)
- Improve the product (analyze usage, identify bugs, prioritize features)
- Communicate with you about your account, payouts, and platform updates
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- Run the VISU advertising network — matching scans with relevant campaigns
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Cookies and tracking
VISU uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your language preference, and measure platform usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit features (e.g., staying logged in across sessions).
We use Google Tag Manager and analytics tools to understand traffic patterns. These tools may set their own cookies subject to their respective policies.
4. Sharing data with third parties
We share data with third parties only when necessary to operate the service:
- Payment processors — for processing PIX, USDT, and credit card transactions
- Cloud infrastructure — AWS for hosting and storage
- Analytics providers — anonymized usage data for product improvement
- Advertising partners — anonymized scan data to deliver relevant ads
- Legal authorities — when required by valid legal process
We do not share your VisuLink visitor analytics with anyone in personally identifiable form.
5. Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we retain limited data for fraud prevention, legal compliance, and accounting purposes for the period required by applicable law (typically 5 years for financial records).
You can request deletion of your data at any time through the dashboard. Some data may be retained where legally required.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (LGPD in Brazil, GDPR in EU, etc.), you have rights to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to certain processing activities
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent where we rely on consent for processing
To exercise these rights, contact us through the dashboard support channels.
7. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls on internal systems, and regular security audits. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat data protection as a core part of platform engineering.
8. International transfers
VISU operates infrastructure in multiple regions. Your data may be transferred and processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we put in place appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions) for international transfers.
9. Children's data
VISU is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or applicable law change. Material changes will be communicated through the dashboard and via email where applicable. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Contact
For privacy questions, data requests, or to report a concern, contact us through the support channels in your dashboard.
